Online car marketplace Heycar has been fighting for attention amongst a sea of noise from competitors Cazoo and Cinch. With less media budget and less awareness, a distinctive fame driving campaign that got everyone singing along was just what the doctor ordered.

Heycar got a hip hip hooray brand makeover as popping visuals and the classic naughty by nature track caught the attention of millions across everything from TV to tiktok. Hip hip for heyyyyy...carrrrr...

As ECD on this brand relaunch and  integrated campaign it was integral that we found the right talent, directors and  musicians to bring this classic to life in a way that felt effortless and joyous.

 

The lyrics were written in collaboration with the featured artist to find the sweet spot between genre authenticity and service messaging that we could adapt and rewrite for every RTB.  The opening panpipes has become the brand's distinctive mnuemonic that was not only repeated across all audio channels in this campaign but for all brand comms moving forward.

Individual edits, lyrics and scenes were created for multiple deliverables meaning that every campaign channel was truly optimised for maximum performance. Simple 'cut downs' we're not good enough for us.

The 'feel good' continued over radio, web, app, OOH, print and even event sponsorship, delivering big results for the brand with 127% increase in web traffic, 3 times increase in ROI and 20% increase in brand awareness.
