Papa john's - chORIZO

After successfully making Papa John's cheddar cheese pizzas famous in the fashion world, brief two landed - chorizo. Again, the ask was to make chorizo pizzas a global Gen Z phenomenom. So it just had to be a bit out fo this world.

Introducing Planet Chorizo, an orbit of tasty alien glam built on an even tastier planet looking chorizo pizza. And of course it wouldn't be complete without the Spanish superstar drag queen herself, Choriza May. Cue the Gen Z Y2K vibes...

Along with the hero film, the global tool kit consisted of paid social assets and hero menu and leaflet templates. As Executive Creative Director on this project it was important to let the madness to unfold and allow the team of young creators to bring the flare that would relate to the audience, whilst ensuring the brand and product story was clear, simple and the taste cues remained king.

We once again worked alongside earned media agency Highlight to bring to life our chorizo drag queen goddess with her very own chorizo lipstick - which of course the world went barmy for. The campaign proved to be just as successful as the first with another Campaign 'Ad of the Day' and global headlines being won worldwide with 400+ pieces of content across news, lifestyle, fashion outlets, and social media.
