INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAYIONAL

Uber needed to build trust amongst women and create awareness launch a new in-app safety feature.

With only 14%* of London’s blue plaques representing women - we unearthed London’s hidden change makers in an IWD celebration

Uber could uniquely own.

Joining 2019’s theme for International Women’s Day #Balanceforbetter, it was time to find, celebrate and tell the stories of women

who have inspired change.

Working with female culture makers, we identified the women they believe deserve more recognition and have influenced their own

sense of self. Uber riders were also invited to submit their own suggestions for Blue Plaques.

Central to the campaign experience was an app takeover on International Women’s day that alerted riders on their trip when they pass

one of the blue plaques, or any of the key ‘celebratory’ destinations Uber had added to the map.
